“I aim to be warm, real, and occasionally a little funny… because good therapy doesn't have to feel stiff or clinical. I'll challenge you when it's useful, sit with you when it's hard, and always work at a pace that feels right for you.”

Aylin is the principal therapist at Inner Worlds Counselling & Psychotherapy. With a holistic, down-to-earth style, she creates a space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard.

Her approach is trauma-informed, relational, and collaborative. Aylin begins by taking time to genuinely understand what's going on your life - your story, your patterns, and your pressures. From there, she works with you to clarify your goals, build a tailored therapeutic plan, and move forward in a focused, purposeful way.

Many of her clients come to therapy having noticed a pattern - in their relationships, in the way they respond to stress, or in how they see and move through the world - and feel ready to understand where it comes from and break free from it. She draws primarily from Schema Therapy, CBT, DBT, & psychodynamic approaches, with a foundation rooted in relational theory. She works with clients to explore how early experiences, relational patterns, and life context shape the way they see themselves and others.

Aylin also holds a deep interest in how psychological wellbeing is shaped by cultural identity, social context, and the world around us - and brings that awareness into her clinical work.

Outside of the therapy room, Aylin loves drawing, video games, Star Trek, coffee, and heavy metal. She's known for bringing creativity and authenticity into her sessions - such as art and music - though she's quick to note the playlist is always up for negotiation (it doesn’t have to be metal!).
