Clinical Supervision & AMHSW Accreditation
Supervision should be a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out — where uncertainty is welcomed, complexity is held, and the hard parts of the work can actually be spoken aloud.
Good supervision isn’t a performance of competence. It’s a relational space where you can slow down, think clearly, and be met with curiosity rather than judgement. In a field where the emotional weight of the work is real and the stakes can be high, that kind of space isn’t a luxury — it’s essential.
Aylin offers one-to-one supervision with the aim of leaving you feeling clearer, steadier, and more equipped — whether you’re working through a complex case, navigating the emotional toll of the work, or building confidence in your clinical identity and decision-making.
A snippet of where I’m coming from…
My clinical background spans three quite different, and at times demanding, mental health contexts: secondary school settings, private adult mental health clinics, and justice-involved youth services. Each of those environments shaped how I think about complexity, risk, and the human beings who sit across from us.
Working in schools meant holding the developmental realities of adolescence alongside systemic pressures - family dynamics, academic stress, emerging mental health presentations that didn’t yet have clear names. In private adult mental health, I worked with more established presentations and the particular nuances of therapeutic relationship when clients have choice and agency in their care. And in youth justice, I encountered young people carrying profound disadvantage, trauma, and a deep mistrust of systems - work that required me to be clinically grounded and relationally attuned in equal measure.
Across all of it, supervision was the thread that helped me make sense of what I was encountering. And I know from my own experience that the quality of that space matters enormously… not just for the work, but for the practitioner doing it.
That’s what I try to offer: a supervision space that honours the complexity of mental health practice, holds the reality that this work is hard, and treats your professional growth as something worth investing in.
Fees
Individual session (supervision and/or AMHSW mentoring): $200 per 60 minutes
Pre-paid package of 4 sessions: $190 per session.
*Sessions must be used within five months of purchase.
AMHSW application draft reviews: $200 per 60 minutes.
*Within each session, I provide detailed, content-focused feedback on 4–8 standards depending on depth of discussion. Please note that draft reviews do not include formal proofreading or rewriting of your application — this is in keeping with ethical mentoring guidelines and ensures the work remains authentically yours.
AMHSW Accreditation Support
Considering accreditation? You don’t have to navigate it alone.
For social workers working towards AMHSW accreditation, I offer dedicated mentoring support alongside - or as a standalone addition to - clinical supervision.
The AMHSW application process is more involved than it appears on paper. Translating years of real-world clinical experience into the specific reflective language and structured evidence the AASW requires is a skill in itself - one that most practitioners haven’t been formally trained to do. Many highly capable social workers delay their application, or disengage from the process entirely, not because they aren’t ready, but because they’re doing it alone.
Having been through the accreditation process myself, I can help you present the depth and quality of your experience in the strongest possible way - from clarifying your eligibility, through to building your evidence base and reviewing your final drafts.
If you’re considering supervision and want to get a sense of whether we’d work well together, reach out for an initial conversation. There’s no commitment required — just a chance to talk through what you’re looking for.
